Public Hearings Held in Astana on Tariff Adjustments for JSC KEGOC
On March 11, 2025, the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies (CREM) under the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan held public hearings regarding the application submitted by JSC KEGOC for adjustments to its tariffs and tariff estimates.
The hearings were chaired by Nurlan Bulatbayev, Deputy Chairman of CREM, who highlighted the importance of stakeholder participation, stating:
"The purpose of these hearings is to ensure transparency, openness, public awareness, and a fair balance of interests for consumers."
Participants in the discussion included representatives from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, executive leadership from JSC KEGOC, members of the media, and other key stakeholders.
Aigul Akimbayeva, Managing Director for Economics and Finance at JSC KEGOC, delivered the core report. In closing, it was noted that the presented proposal remains preliminary, with a final regulatory decision to be made following a thorough review.
